The Ask Nanima Home Industry was an overwhelming success. Alhamdulillah. We never ever expected in our wildest dreams for so many people to support us. People came from far and wide. Some came from Rustenburg, Lichtenburg, Witbank, Middleburg. Others came all the way from Cape Town to sell their stuff at the Ask Nanima Home Industry Expo. I think the marketing via Radio, newspaper, social media and word of mouth really got the word out.

As this was our first expo, we learnt a great deal. Firstly we needed a bigger space. Although the Emmarentia Dam was an awesome relaxing venue to have it in, the space we were allocated was way to small for the crowds that attended. Main reason for choosing the venue was because of the beauty and we chose the indoor venue because the weather during those weeks was very unpredictable.

Our food stalls were sold out very quickly as well. The turn out was phenomenal and they could not keep up with the orders. We ordered 200 biryani and I did not even smell the Biryani, it went so fast.

Lets hope for more opportunities where we can assist Home Industries get exposure.

We plan to have our next expo after Ramadan in Lenasia. SO watch this space.

Special thanx goes out to Aadila Tootla from Glam Couture and her family for helping with co ordinating the inaugural Ask Nanima Home Industry Expo. Thanx goes out to all the stall holders for their support and making the day a success.

Also would like to thank my family for all their hard work and effort especially my parents, parent in laws, brother, sisters, children, brother in law for helping with all the preps for the day. Special Special thanx to Madala for all his hard work and effort and support.

We encouraged Jozi to declutter their life and donate towards our Duchaaz drop off. All goods were donated to the Grasmere Masjid. We were encouraging a kitchen clean up campaign for Grasmere. Shopping bags were donated by Yusuf Nanabawa all the way from Durban. Stalls were setting up. Jumping castle were also set up and the kids had a great time. Baby Kirthika was selling her blue ribbons for her operation to see again. She is currently in China as we speak starting with treatment and shortly after the expo they managed to complete their collection of funds. I launched my matchmaking again.
