I love the Lory Park Zoo. It is a small zoo but has the most awesome animals in them. Today my family and I decided to have a picnic at the zoo. Bachoo and Poiroo love animals. We thought we will take poiroo to the zoo as he has never been and I justed wanted to see his reaction when he saw the tiger. He gets so excited at home when he see’s lions and tigers on tv. After we had our lunch the animals were famished and were pacing restlessly waiting for their food.
Here is a video of how the Lion gave us a shock and skrik.. luckily I didn’t need the toilet at the time. Eish. It seems Bachoo and her Masie are a lethal combination, everytime they go to zoo or reserve there is some drama. The last time a lion charged at them at
The first time I went to this zoo, when I went with Bachoo. I thought I was going to show her birds and small animals. When I saw all the cats, eish, I was so excited. At that time they also had lion cubs that you could play with. This is definetly my favourite zoo as it is small size and you don’t need to walk and walk and walk to see everything.
Some wildlife they have there –
Birds like eagles, owls, vultures. The cat collection is impressive – Lions, Tigers, Leopards, Puma, Jaguar, Black Jaguar, White Lions, Siberian Tigers. Also lemurs, meerkats, fish
Best time to go is during their feeding time. They seem to be restless and most active during that time of the day usually at 3pm.

We had a picnic there while the kids played on the jungle gym and we watched the monkeys monkeying around. All their picnic areas got tables and chairs.
